Instruction for Authors

The Institute of Biopaleogeography named under Charles R. Darwin prepares and publishes on the Institute’s website the materials in the form of a article (frequency: irregular), as a form of report on travel and discovery expeditions on land and sea.

The thematic scope of these reports cover a wide range of natural sciences such as: geography, tourism, geology, palaeontology, chemistry and physics of seas and oceans, beauty of landscapes, richness of biodiversity (botany and zoology), environmental protection, ecology, human life and development.

Materials from such expeditions are accepted in MS WORD format, described and presented in English. The conclusions that should present interesting information and insights from the expeditions are very important.

The report must include: the title of manuscript, first name(s) in full and surname(s) of author/authors, abstract (a few sentences which should characterise the main purpose and place of the trip), introduction (description and characteristics of the trip, date), conclusions, list of literature, attachments.

The introduction must contain numbered photographs with a description as a form of travel documentation.

The attachments at the end of the report must contain the added photographs with numbering.

The materials will be published in full on the Institute’s website in PDF format:

Type of review: 1) Editorial review; 2) Blind peer review

Peer-reviews of papers and publication of articles in Institute are free of charge.

After the accepted manuscript is published in an online issue, any requests to add, delete, or rearrange author names and/or introduce any corrections will require a suitable corrigendum.

We invite you to publish the article in the form of a report.

The article must include: title, author(s), affiliation and full address of the institution, ABSTRACT, Keywords.

INTRODUCTION: the entire study area must be described (geography, biology, zoology, botany, geology (etc.) as a photo in APPENDIX). All photos featured in APPENDIX in the introduction must be briefly described and discussed (maximum a few pages). Each region in the world has its own unique beauty and richness of nature.

CONCLUSIONS: describe the most important conclusions, observations and possible threats in a few sentences.

APPENDIX

Consecutively numbered photos that must be described in numerical order in the introduction. The first photos must show accurate maps of the described area. Photos must be clear and legible. The number of photos is unlimited, but there must be a minimum of 100 photos.
